Azerbaijan’s direct work permit, i.e., direct work visa, be obtained while sitting in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, or Sri Lanka? In today’s blog, we will only tell you about this. The fact is that if someone tells you that they will give you Azerbaijan’s direct work permit while sitting in your home country, how will they give it to you? If there is a businessman present in Azerbaijan who has his own business here, I will give an example. For instance, if someone has a restaurant here, in that case, the visa they can take for you could be a chef visa or a cashier visa for you.
Otherwise, if they say they will get a waiter visa for you or a driver visa or a plumber visa, that is completely false. How is it false? The Azerbaijan government says that first, if you come here and do any business, then those you hire must be related to that business. The labor they hire must be Azerbaijani. Azerbaijan always issues visas to people who are Azerbaijani citizens.
For example, if someone opens a restaurant here, one condition is that they must employ at least four or five people who are Azerbaijani citizens. After that, if they need an expert person, for instance, if it’s a Pakistani or Indian restaurant and they need to prepare Indian or Pakistani food, then they obviously need a chef from India or Pakistan because Azerbaijani citizens may not know that cooking.
For this, the person will take your passport, your diploma (chef diploma), and your medical checkup. Then, they will apply with all these documents to the relevant ministries in Azerbaijan. The ministry team will come to the restaurant and check whether this person is really needed. If they find that four or five Azerbaijani employees are already hired and now they need a chef, then they will approve the visa. In some cases, the visa may also be rejected. It is not guaranteed that the visa will be issued 100%. Sometimes, if they are not satisfied, the visa is rejected. But mostly, people get the visa.
However, if someone says, “I have a restaurant, I will get you a driver visa, waiter visa, plumber visa, or electrician visa,” that is false. There is no such thing. In Azerbaijan, if someone says they have a Bolt visa (taxi visa) offer, foreigners from other countries can not drive taxis here. Only those who marry Azerbaijani citizens can drive taxis after coming here.
Do not think that by coming on a work visa, you can drive a taxi or work as a plumber, electrician, or salesman. This is very rare. Driver visas are absolutely not given. For plumber or electrician work, it is still technically possible, but in hidden cases. Someone might get you a visa secretly, but that is different.
Technically, the person who invites you on a work visa or converts your visit visa here will do so only for a field that is in demand and not fully met in Azerbaijan. The person must show that they are bringing you from your home country as an expert. They will prepare your diploma, translate it into Azerbaijani or English. In that case, your direct work permit will be issued.
You must avoid scams. If someone says they will give you a direct work permit and later convert a visit visa into a work visa, do not get caught in such tricks. Never pay in advance. Only give documents to 100% verified people. Give payment after the visa is issued and your work is verified. Never give advance money.
Azerbaijan’s visa is very difficult to obtain. For those who get it, it is a bit difficult. It is not obtained easily.
