Business Registration Update in Azerbaijan 2026

the business registration ban in Azerbaijan has now been lifted. Anyone from any country can go to Azerbaijan and register their business. So today, we will tell you how you can go to Azerbaijan and register your business yourself without any consultant. Because if you get your business registered through a consultant, they can charge fees ranging from 1,500 US dollars to 2,000 US dollars. But if you want to save 1,500 or 2,000 US dollars and you have a basic understanding of documentation, then in this blog we will explain the steps on how you can go there and register your business yourself, which is actually very easy.

Business Visa Process for Azerbaijan 2026

So first of all, what you need to do is—whether you are from Pakistan or any other country—you need to get a business tourist visa and go to Azerbaijan. You can apply for a business tourist visa online, pay the fee online, and within three to four days you will receive your visa. So once you have the business tourist visa, you need to travel to Azerbaijan. After reaching there, the first thing you should do is research the market for one or two days—find out what types of businesses you can do there and which businesses are currently running successfully.

Government Offices for Company Registration in Azerbaijan

After that, what you need to do is visit the Ministry of Justice or the Ministry of Commerce, which is also called the Chamber of Commerce. There, you need to get information by telling them that you are from a certain country, you are a foreigner, and you want to register a company there. They will guide you properly, step by step. They will explain where to start, which documents you need to bring, which documents you need to prepare, and which ministries you need to visit to register your company.

Language and Business Support in Azerbaijan

Friends, let me also tell you one more thing: the official language of Azerbaijan is Azerbaijani, but there is no need to worry—the second official language is English. Yes, in government ministries and offices in Azerbaijan, you will find English-speaking staff who can easily understand you and guide you in English about what you need to do. There is no difficulty; registering a business in Azerbaijan is very easy.

Company Name, LLC Structure and Legal Setup in Azerbaijan

In addition, we will also tell you some main steps that you need to follow there to register your business. As I have mentioned in my previous blogs, in any country you must first select a name for your company or business. That name must be unique—there should not already be a company registered under that name in Azerbaijan. After selecting the name, you need to choose the business type, which should be an LLC (Limited Liability Company).

Incorporation Documents and Registration Process

After that, you need to prepare the incorporation documents. You will get complete information about how to prepare them from the Ministry of Justice or the Ministry of Commerce, and they will guide you on which department to visit for preparing these documents. The incorporation documents usually include two main documents: the Articles of Association and the Memorandum of Association. The ministry will guide you on how to prepare both of these documents.

Tax Registration, License and Business Address Requirement

After that, you need to register your company with the tax department. Once it is registered with the tax department, you then register it with the Ministry of Justice, and after that, you apply for a license from the Chamber of Commerce. However, before applying for the license, you need to find a location for your business—such as an office or a shop. You must make a rental agreement with the property owner, and attach a copy of this rental agreement with your other documents when applying for the license.

Bank Account and TRC Process in Azerbaijan

After receiving the license, you need to open a bank account. Then you need to deposit the required amount into that account, which, as mentioned in the previous blog, is 3,000 US dollars. After depositing 3,000 US dollars into your business bank account, you need to go to the Ministry of Labor. There, you need to obtain your TRC, which means converting your business tourist visa into a business TRC.

Azerbaijan Business Opportunities and Real Estate Investment

There is a country in Central Asia called Azerbaijan. Everyone knows this country—it is very famous, especially among Pakistanis, Indians, Bangladeshis, and all our neighboring countries. People from these countries are eager to go there.

But there was a problem—an issue that you could not get a work permit there, nor could you go there and start your own business. You could only go there on a visa, which was not useful for people who wanted to settle there. The second way to settle there was very expensive, which we call real estate investment. Yes, if you wanted to settle there, you had to buy a house or an apartment worth more than 100,000 US dollars.

2026 Law Update – Business Registration Ban Lifted

But now the government of Azerbaijan has changed some laws. What are those laws, how do they benefit us, and how can we settle there under these laws? We will explain all these things after coming forward.

Yes, that law is this: as you all know, some time ago the government of Azerbaijan had imposed a ban on business registration for our region—including countries like Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and maybe a couple of others. This meant that we could not go there and register a business. Why that happened and the reasons behind it is a separate topic.

But the good news now is that you no longer need to invest in real estate. Those who can invest are most welcome, but those who cannot can now register their own business there. In 2024, this ban was lifted—it has ended.

Updated Requirements for Business TRC in Azerbaijan

However, because the law has changed, some requirements have also changed. You need to work according to those requirements. You can go there, set up your business comfortably, obtain a TRC, and do some proper work. After that, you can become eligible to apply for a passport or PR there.

Moreover, if you want to move forward from there, you can legally go to Europe or any big country quite easily. So what are these requirements and what has changed? Not much, but they are very important.

First of all, the business registration process remains the same, but some things have been added. One of them is that when you register your company and open a company bank account, you must deposit 30,000 US dollars as paid-up capital. Only then can you get a business TRC. Yes, you can deposit these 30,000 US dollars if you want to apply for TRC as a director or founder.

But if you cannot deposit 30,000 US dollars, then what happens? Your company will still be opened, but instead of applying as a director, you will need to apply for a work permit as a worker. For example, if you open a restaurant, you can apply as a chef, supervisor, or similar category. In that case, your work permit will be issued according to that category, and you will not need to deposit 30,000 US dollars.

Living in Baku and Business Lifestyle Opportunities

Anyway, especially for us Pakistanis, this is a great opportunity. This neighboring country looks just like Europe—it is no less than Europe. Baku, its capital, feels completely European. The people here are very nice and friendly, and they have love and respect for Pakistanis.

If you settle there, it is an amazing country. Most importantly, you can apply for a visa yourself online without any agent. The visa is very cheap, and the process is very easy. You can go there on a business visa, find a business consultant—there are many Pakistanis working there—and connect with them. They will help you open a company and handle the whole process. It is a very simple procedure.

They will charge some service fees and register a company for you. This opportunity does not come again and again. It is our neighboring country. Once you get a business TRC, after some time you can easily move to other countries, even better and bigger ones.

Study Visa and Education Opportunities in Azerbaijan

before moving forward, let us give some very important information. Whether you have completed matric, FA, a bachelor’s degree, or even a master’s degree; whether your age is 18 to 20, 30, or even 40 to 50—you can still apply for a study visa for this country. The best thing about this country is that there is no age limit for studying.

The easiest way to go to this country is through a study visa. A study visa for this country is very affordable. In this blog, we will explain how you can go there on a language course to learn the country’s language. This language course usually lasts from 6 months to 1 year. And let us tell one more thing: if your language course is completed and your one-year duration ends, you can still extend your study visa and continue your language course there.

Work Opportunities in Azerbaijan (Bolt, Wolt, Uber Eats)

When you receive a study visa TRC, it comes with many benefits. While staying there, you can do part-time work. Once you gain a basic understanding of the country’s language—which you can learn at a basic level within one or two weeks—you can start working. However, the easiest type of job, where language is not very important, is similar to what we have in Pakistan like Foodpanda. In that country, there are companies like Bolt, Wolt, and Uber Eats. You can work part-time with them very easily and generate a good income. With that income, you can manage your living expenses, your next TRC fees, and even your university fees comfortably.

Why Azerbaijan is a Good Migration Opportunity in 2026

Yes, the country we are talking about is Azerbaijan. It is a very beautiful country with lovely people. It is a Central Asian country that may become part of the Schengen zone in the future. Traveling to this country from Pakistan or India is very easy. You can get a visit visa through an e-visa, and you can also obtain a study visa through the e-visa system, which is very affordable.

Another question may come to your mind: if we take a one-year TRC or extend it for another year, what is our future after that? The answer is that while living there, once you understand the market, you can easily start a business. However, business can be a bit expensive, so those who can afford it can go for it.

But after a study TRC, the second easiest option is to purchase property. You can buy a flat or a house there quite easily. If you have an amount of around $50,000 and you can arrange this amount from your home country—whether from India or Pakistan—you can transfer it there and purchase a property. Once you buy a flat, you can obtain a property TRC very easily.

If you want to live there long-term, you can renew your TRC every year and continue paying your property tax. After living there for 5 years in 2026, you can obtain PR (permanent residency).

However, if you do not want to stay permanently and your target is Europe, the UK, or Canada, you can apply for visas to those countries based on your TRC, and it becomes easier to get visit visas.
