Jobs in Azerbaijan

This blog we will cover how you can find a job here, how you can study, and all related things. By the way, this country is also called the Land of Fire, and its official name is the Republic of Azerbaijan. The currency here is Azerbaijani manat, which is roughly comparable to India’s currency. For example, if your salary is 2000 manat, it directly converts to about ₹100,000 per month.

Azerbaijan shares its borders with Georgia, Russia, Iran, Armenia, and Turkey. The official language is Azerbaijani, although 1415 languages are spoken here. However, the main language spoken is Azerbaijani. About 60% of the land area is mountainous, and 40% is plains or lowlands.

Azerbaijan was part of the Soviet Union and gained independence in 1991. Its capital is Baku, which is the most populated city with over 3 million people. It is located very close to the Caspian Sea and has an amazing view. The total population of Azerbaijan is 10.14 million, of which 90% are Muslims and 3% follow Christianity. There are only 2,166 mosques and overall 570 churches. After Iran, the largest Shia Muslim population in the world resides in Azerbaijan, making up 85%, while Sunnis make up 15%.

The total land area is 8,600 km², with 8,400 rivers in total, 24 of which are over 100 km long, and one river, the Kura, is 1,515 km long. Azerbaijan is also a member of the UN, IMF, and NATO.

Azerbaijan’s nominal GDP is $8.74 billion. Flower cultivation is very significant here, which also leads to labor shortages in some sectors. Many people work in agriculture. The country exports a lot of flowers. Oil and gas have been major industries since 1994, and Azerbaijan has earned a strong reputation in this sector. There are 13 large companies involved in oil extraction, such as Azər, Amoca B, BP, ExxonMobil, and a major local company called State Oil, among others.

Mining is also a major industry here, providing many job opportunities. Gold, silver, iron, titanium, copper, manganese, cobalt, and molybdenum are mined, along with chromium. Small startups are also emerging, and foreign people are starting businesses here as well.

Azerbaijan exports about $15.21 billion worth of crude oil, natural gas, refined petroleum, tomatoes, and more annually. However, one downside is that carbon dioxide emissions are very high due to mining activities. Globally, China ranks first in CO₂ emissions, the USA second, and Azerbaijan third.

Now, let me tell you a bit about visas. The e-visa here is very efficient; it is processed in about 3–4 days, maximum 5 days. As of July 10th, 2024, a 30-day visa is issued, costing approximately $20, with a processing time of 5 days. If applied offline, it takes about 10–15 days. You can get a work visa, business visa, or study visa. I will provide the official website link in the description for detailed information. You can also contact the embassy in Delhi, located at Paschim Marg, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi.

Now I will give you some important information about jobs. There are websites such as CareerJet and Ajin where you can apply for jobs. You can apply whether you are in your home country or in Azerbaijan. Make sure to apply to good companies.

Since this country is in Europe, you must have a Europass CV and cover letter. Many people do not have these, but to apply to good companies, you will need them. I will prepare these for you so you can apply to good companies and work for a good salary. You will need to pay a small amount for this, as it is not free. Other than that, I am helping you for free so that your future can be built in Europe, the Middle East, or Asia, wherever you are searching for a job.
