Work on student visa in Azerbaijan
“Do construction work, do this kind of job, you will earn this much money.”
But basically, you should know that if you go on a study visa — whether it’s for a language course or any other course — according to the law, you can not work while on a study visa.

On a study visa, you are only allowed to study. In fact, the law there also states that even if you are issued a work permit — for example, as a cook — then you are only allowed to work as a cook. You cannot do anything other than the profession mentioned in your permit.
But if you are issued a language course study visa, then remember clearly — you can not do any kind of job legally. Many people give misinformation, saying that you can go there and earn money while studying, that you don’t have to attend classes, etc.
However, the rules in Azerbaijan are quite strict, and now they are becoming even stricter. Under a student visa, no one is allowed to work.
If you hold a student visa, it is only for studying. If you are caught working, then you are simply deported, and you may even face a five-year ban from re-entry.
Therefore, if your main purpose is to go there for work, then do not go on a study visa, because in Azerbaijan, they will not allow you to work.
If anyone tells you otherwise, then you should just read the immigration rules, and you will understand that such things are not possible.
Because you know that a study visa — especially a language course visa — is only meant for living there and studying.
If you are doing online work, then that’s fine — for such people, the study visa can be a good option. Or if you are moving just to live there or work as a freelancer, then that’s also suitable.
But if your plan is to go there and earn money locally, then a study visa is not for you, because its requirement is that you are a full-time student.
It is even written on your TRC (Temporary Residence Card) that you are a student.
So, if you apply for a study visa, you cannot work. If you apply for a work visa, then you can’t study — they are completely separate.
On a study visa, you will only study. Even one hour of work is not allowed.
Some people say that part-time jobs are allowed — that is completely false.
Therefore, if your goal is to earn money, then do not go on a study visa.
